I'm a sports journalist for Athlon Sports, covering the Minnesota Vikings, Twins, Timberwolves, Gophers, Nebraska Cornhuskers, Detroit Lions and Chicago Bears. Before moving to sportswriting full-time, I spent nearly a decade in news.

After leading online coverage of the biggest stories in news and sports in Nebraska for a few years, I moved home to the Twin Cities to continue covering important stories for a bigger audience at KSTP-TV for Hubbard Broadcasting. While writing was the main part of my job, I worked to ensure our team consistently produced the best, most compelling coverage of news, sports and weather events in a variety of ways and in a timely manner. I also focused on enhancing search engine optimization, improving user experience, and leveraging social media and analytics to deliver the best results for both our viewers and the company. Above all else, I'm devoted to creating original content and telling the stories that matter to our community.

In the past, I was the senior digital producer at KOLN, KSNB, KNOP and KNEP television stations for Gray Television in Lincoln, Neb. I also previously worked as a reporter, anchor and producer for the University of Nebraska's "Star City News;" broadcast football, baseball, basketball, soccer and volleyball games for KRNU radio, Big Ten Network Student U and huskers.com; wrote for the Daily Nebraskan; covered sporting events, produced features and utilized social media accounts for the University of Nebraska Athletic Department.

My goal is to continue providing the best coverage of the biggest and most important news and sports stories in a creative, original and accurate manner, while exploring and utilizing opportunities through digital and social resources.
